About Fet a Sóller
Fet a Sóller is an initiative that tries to combine economics and ecologics. Centuries of cultivation (orange and olive plantations) form the valley of Sóller and contribute to the landscape helping to remember the knowledge of traditional cultivation today.
Many hundreds and thousands of kilos of oranges, olives and other raw materials are being used in local factories like “Sa Fàbrica de Gelats“ (Icecream), “Estel Nou“ (Jams) or “La Luna“ (Charcuterie) to produce local specialities. Around 200 people, amongst others many disabled people find work in these factories and get a better quality of life through their possibility to work.
