Chocolate Almond Toffee with Orange Flavour

Preparation

Break the chocolate coating into pieces. Put a medium saucepan of water on to make a bain-marie.
Finely grate the zest from the oranges, lightly toast the almonds in a small pan and then gently crush them in a mortar.

Place the condensed milk and chocolate chips in the bowl and hang in the boiling water. Let the chocolate melt, stirring occasionally.

Grease a square shallow baking dish (preferably a silicone mould) well or carefully line it with cling film.

Stir the almonds and two-thirds of the grated orange zest into the mixture of condensed milk and chocolate coating, then pour into the baking dish. Sprinkle the remaining orange zest over the top and leave to cool.

After about 2 hours, cut the mixture into small squares (4x4cm).

Store in the fridge.
