There are many different ways of making coffee. Until the arrival of tourism, Mallorca did not have the coffee machine that is common in many countries. Here, coffee has always been prepared express, quickly and easily in the so-called "cafetera".
The lower part of the cafetera is filled with water, a kind of sieve with ground coffee is placed on top and the upper part is simply screwed on. As soon as the water boils, it runs through the coffee into the upper part of the pot and there you have a "café solo", as it is known here.
There are of course many different cafeteras on the market. We offer you the model that can be found in every Mallorcan kitchen. Made of resistant aluminium, it is suitable for gas, electric and ceramic hobs.
