As our oranges and lemons are not waxed, the peels are also suitable for consumption:
- grated orange peel refines cakes, pastries and all kinds of desserts
- dried orange peel in small pieces gives your tea a pleasantly fragrant and tasty aroma
- freshly grated, the peel adds a special flavour to muesli, yoghurts and quark dishes.
The white part under the peel also contains many valuable ingredients.
Storage:
Stored dry and cool, e.g. in the vegetable compartment of the fridge or in a cool room (approx. 6-7 degrees C.). Important: remove the fruit from the carton after receiving the delivery!
Lemons and orange juice as well as fruit fillets are excellent for freezing.
