Ferrerico is a small family business on Mallorca that stands out for the tradition and quality of its Mallorcan products. Above all, the production of sobrasada and especially the "Organic Sobrasada Ferrerico" are among the most popular Mallorcan sausage specialities. Keeping the animals in a manner appropriate to their species is of great importance to the Mallorcan company. Ferrerico uses its large outdoor areas so that Mallorca pigs feel really good outdoors. They are the best prerequisite for healthy and strong animals and also offer sufficient water points for bathing and wallowing. These are especially important in summer, as the Mallorca pigs have a limited ability to regulate heat and even move into the well-ventilated barn in extreme heat. The typical Mallorca sausage Sobrasada by Ferrerico is produced according to traditional Mallorcan methods and with purely organic ingredients. The precisely timed production process starts with the harvest of the grain from the certified organic fields, which is used to feed the farm's own herd. The feed is combined with natural pastures and organic flour. In this way, the Mallorcan company obtains the best and healthiest organic meat as the basis for Ferrerico's exceptional products. During the production process, the typical spicy paprika "Tap de Cortí", which has long been known beyond Mallorca, is added to the meat. The typical Mallorca spice provides the unique taste and gives the sobrasada its colour and helps to preserve it.
