Rosselló Trencada green olives spicy pickled
Rosselló Trencada green olives spicy pickled
Aromatic olives in the "trencada" style (broken). This means that the olives are struck with a hammer until they break open and pickled in brine with herbs, garlic and chilli. Very tasty and spicy.
The Trencada olives are crunchier than other olives and spicier due to their much shorter pickling time.
Depending on taste, the salt water can be replaced after 4-6 weeks with clear, fresh water, which is then changed daily until the desired taste is achieved. The olives become a little milder in taste every day.

Cristóbal Rosselló is the head of the family of the well-known Mallorcan company Rosselló. The olive farm Son Mesquidassa, which is so typical for Mallorca, is located in the small sleepy settlement of Son Mesquida between Porreres and Felanitx. Approximately 150,000 olive trees grow on a total of 100 hectares of land.Olives do not need to be kept in the fridge when they are pickled in oil or covered with brine.
