Fruity Sangría with citrus and white peach

Preparation

In a 2-litre carafe, put the cane sugar and the cinnamon broken into pieces, fill with the brandy so that the sugar starts to dissolve.

Cut the orange in half, slice one half finely, slice half a lime finely as well. Finely peel the zest of half a lemon, cutting off as little of the white as possible.

Halve the peach, remove the seeds and also cut into fine slices.

Now stir the brandy with the sugar vigorously until the sugar has dissolved, add the fruit to the jug and top up with the red wine, stir well again. Place in the fridge for one to two hours to allow the sangría to infuse properly.

Make a lemonade with the juice of the lemons and the sparkling water.

Put 2-3 ice cubes in each of four large glasses, fill the Sangría with the lemonade, stir and divide among the glasses. Serve the Sangría with wide straws and wooden or plastic skewers.

You can enjoy a "2nd round" of this refreshing drink by topping up the fruit in the jug with the remaining red wine, 2 tablespoons of sugar, the juice of an orange and lemonade to taste.
