The Variety Ortanique is a hybrid of the sweet orange and the tangerine and has an intense flavour; the name comes from ORange + TANgerine + unIQUE. Harvested from the Agrotourismo Cas Sant in Sóller.
Its form and bright orange colour is reminiscent of mandarins. It is very juicy, has a high sugar content and its flesh has a delicate texture.
