In Mallorca, the Valencia Late is one of the late orange varieties. It is a medium-sized, fine-skinned orange with a high juice content. Its sweet flavour is accompanied by a light, pleasantly acidic tone.
The fully ripe Valencia Late is yellow-orange in colour, depending on the sunlight, later in the year with a light green colouring (intense sunlight removes the colour pigments from the orange). The Valencialate harvest ends around August.
Its juice is an ideal refreshing drink! Also, well suited as an edible orange.
