Pimientos de padrón small peppers

Pimientos de padrón small peppers
When the so-called "Tapas" are served on Majorca or anywhere else in Spain, this small green pepper should always be part of the dish. Sometimes they are very spicy, sometimes medium spicy and sometimes quite mild and nobody knows how this is determined.
The Spaniards have a saying that goes: "pimientos de padrón, unos pican, otros no" (some of them are spicy, and some are not). Thus, the "Pimientos de Padrón" are always good for a surprise.
They are not only served as Tapa, but they are also a popular supplement for meat dishes as well as for fish and seafood.
500g serves 4–5 people. Please store in the refrigerator.

Wash and dry peppers, heat olive oil in a frying pan and slowly fry the whole pepper on low flame until the skin starts turning a whitish color in places and separates itself from the pepper. Sprinkle with grainy sea salt " Flor de Sal" and serve still warm. You take a pepper by its stem and...the spanish roulette commences: spicy or not...that is the question...or super-spicy?
