We plant trees, help us!
We plant these trees because they
- reduce the harmful CO2 concentration in the atmosphere (trees bind the carbon of the CO2 as bio-mass in photosynthesis and release oxygen back into the atmosphere).
- preserve the typical, beautiful, green and fertile agricultural landscape on Mallorca, which is protected as a Tramuntana World Heritage Site.
- revitalise biodiversity with traditional, tried and tested plants adapted to Mallorca's climate.
- sustainably protect and preserve our only habitat.

October 2023
The new orange trees have arrived in the valley of Sóller and were planted quickly.
July 2023
We have already planted more than 5,000 trees. These are mainly varieties that are native to the Sóller valley and are rarely planted by other farmers, such as the Orange Peret and the Canoneta.
It takes about 5 to 6 years for such a citrus tree to produce fruit.
But: the tree immediately starts converting CO2 and provides valuable oxygen for our environment.

December 2022
Over the last few years, we have already planted 4,000 new trees and we will continue to work hard until we reach our target of planting a total of 10,000 new trees.
We have just ordered 1,000 seedlings of the ancient Sóller Orange Peret. These will now be grown in the nursery and then planted in spring 2023 depending on the weather conditions.
August 2022
In August, working in the fields was particularly strenuous because it was simply very hot. Long-sleeved clothing, long trousers, gloves and sturdy shoes are a must for safety reasons. And so we are giving our Tomeo a well-earned rest.
Our water deposit, called Safreig, was fed with spring water from the Tramuntana mountains every week. What luck!
... and now we're waiting for rain.

Don't trust a place where no weeds grow.
We also leave room for "wild herbs of all kinds" in our plantations. Because some of these plants have healing powers for animals and humans.
In addition, wild herbs are vital host plants for butterflies and other insects. Some of these plants even help to combat crop pests and diseases, such as stinging nettle, camomile or tansy. This happens either through their own effect or by attracting auxiliary fauna.
Instead of eliminating pests directly, pesticide-free cultivation of fruit creates favourable conditions for a wide variety of animals. These help to regulate pests. One well-known example is the ladybird, whose larva eats up to 600 aphids in the course of its development.
