When the so called "Tapas" are served on Majorca or anywhere else in Spain, this small green pepper should always be part of the dish. Sometimes they are very spicy, sometimes medium spicy and sometimes quite mild and nobody knows how this is determined. The spaniards have a saying that goes: "pimientos de padrón, unos pican, otros no" (also: every 7th pepper "stings"). Thus, the "Pimientos de Padrón" are always good for a surprise. They are not only served as "Tapa", but they are also a popular supplement for meat dishes as well as for fish and seafood. (One unit=500g, serves 4-5 people)...please keep refrigerated.

Sprinkle with grainy sea salt " Flor de Sal" and serve still warm. You take a pepper by its stem and...the spanish roulette commences: spicy or not...that is the question...or super-spicy?
