Dos Perellons Almond liqueur
Like the olive and citrus trees, the almond trees are part of the landscape and culture of Mallorca and their fruits are therefore also part of Mallorcan cuisine. Here the freshly harvested almonds are dried, roasted, ground or chopped into all kinds of culinary delights.
It was a tradition centuries ago to make homemade schnapps from the valuable fruits of the almond tree. The "Dos Perellons" distillery in the village of Llubí has been following the tradition since 1882 and would like to pay tribute to the almonds, which are very valued by the Mallorcan people, with this fine almond liqueur (17% vol.).

In 1882, in a small village called Llubí in the interior of the island of Mallorca, a carpenter named Jorge Perelló Perelló decided to change his profession and opened a traditional schnapps distillery.
After pursuing this profession for several years, he hands this distillery over to his sons Jorge and Antonio Perelló Planas, who decide to go different ways.
Antonio immigrated to America in 1917, like many Mallorcans of the time, and founded a distillery in Mendoza, Argentina.
His second son, Antonio Perelló Perelló, reopened the distillery in the old rooms in Llubí in 1947, where his grandfather had started, and he continues to expand it as production increases.
In 1973, he gave her the form of a public limited company with the name Dos Perellons (corresponding to his two last names).
Today, 125 years after its original founding, the distillery is still a fourth generation family business, the fifth generation already learning the trade in order to continue the old family tradition.
