In late summer, the figs are ripe. In the valley of Sóller there are many of these beautiful trees, which are an important source of shade in the gardens.
Fully ripe and fresh from the tree, figs taste best. That's why they go into the Fet a Sóller jam production immediately after harvesting. Delicious on crunchy toast, but also highly recommended in combination with cheese.
