Navelina is the first orange of the new season. It is medium-sized and oval/round in shape. Its taste is fruity with a balanced sugar-acid ratio (tangy yet sweet).

Navelina oranges are easy to peel and contain no or very few seeds. They are particularly suitable as table oranges. If you want to juice them, avoid pressing too hard, otherwise limonin – a slight bitter substance found in the peel – may be released. The color of ripe Navelina oranges ranges from green/yellow/orange. Only after cool night temperatures do the ripe oranges take on their typical orange color externally.

Navelina is a medium-sized oval / round orange. Their taste is sweet and fruity with a balanced sugar-acid ratio.

It is harvested between October and late January.

Navelina oranges are easy to peel and have no or very few seeds. Navelina are particularly suitable for being eaten, if you prefer to make juice from them, make sure you do not press too much. Otherwise Limonin, a slight bitter substance, which is located in the shell, is released.
